A Circular
Transformation
Designing for circularity and breaking away from fashion’s traditional linear model requires radical change. We’ve been adopting circular principles and leveraging innovative programs to extend the life of our products while making the most of resources and minimizing waste right from the beginning.

Gucci Vintage
A new venture, Gucci Vintage celebrates the legacy of our most iconic pieces through archivist-selected vintage items that have been reconditioned by our in-house artisans. The enduring value, timelessness and allure of our products is celebrated anew and given an extended life by our clients.
Gucci Preloved
Building on our initial foray into the pre-owned market beginning in 2020, our partnership with Vestiaire Collective, the certified B Corp® and global platform for pre-loved luxury fashion, expanded in 2023. Envisioned for our clients who wish to trade in their handbags from one of our signature lines, 'Gucci Preloved with Vestiaire Collective' is now offered in twenty-eight stores across Europe, further expanding Gucci’s commitment to circularity.
2023 Gucci-Up
Initially launched in 2018 to recover leftover and deadstock
fabric and leather from manufacturing, we’ve been expanding
our Gucci-Up program year after year as detailed in the
graphic. In practice, we reuse these materials and anything
not upcycled in our collections is either put back into the
marketplace or donated to NGOs and social cooperatives in
Italy.

2023 Gucci Scrap-less
We launched the Gucci Scrap-less program in 2018 to reduce our
leather manufacturing footprint, leading to the positive
results captured in the graphic. By simply changing
traditional methods and cutting leather hides to size before
tanning, we’re able to process only what is needed which also
reduces the amount of energy, water and chemicals required to
treat the material.
