Gucci supports organizations that advance justice and eliminate discrimination in the Black community
On 2 June 2020 former President and Gucci CEO, Marco Bizzarri, and Creative Director, Alessandro Michele, alongside Gucci employees, shared their commitment to combat racism and stand in solidarity with the Black community following the death of George Floyd and subsequent protests around the world.
Gucci paused all its operations in the United States on 4 June 2020 for employees to have a day of mourning, honour the lives lost, and recommit to being part of the solution.
Through Gucci’s North America Changemakers Impact Fund Gucci also donated to The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Campaign Zero and Know Your Rights Camp to support their critical work. This support was in addition to Kering’s donations to organizations on behalf of all its brands, including Gucci.
