Gucci Supports the Women’s Forum G20 Italy

Gucci is Lead Partner of “A She-covery for all,” the Women’s Forum G20 Italy event highlighting the role of women in the rebuilding of a post-pandemic world.

In a rapidly-evolving world where equal opportunity, inclusivity, sustainability and respect for the environment are seen as crucial pillars in the construction of a post-pandemic world, Gucci pledges its support to the upcoming Women’s Forum G20 Italy, of which it is Lead Partner. Founded in 2005, the Women’s Forum is part of the official calendar of the G20, the international summit that brings together the world’s major economies.

Under the aegis of the theme “She-covery,” the three-day event will run from October 17-19, 2021, in partnership with Politecnico di Milano (Polytechnic University of Milan), and will highlight the unfair impact the Covid-19 pandemic has had on female employment, whilst underscoring the importance of equal access to STEM education, the fight against climate change, ethical finance, post Covid-19 health systems, female diplomacy, access to capital, and tech-driven themes like artificial intelligence.

The Advisory Board Italy, which comprises 25 high level representatives of institutions, business, economy, academy, and science, and whose aim is to define a Call to Action addressed to the G20 Leaders, includes Gucci’s EVP General Counsel of Corporate Affairs & Sustainability, Antonella Centra. Speaking to gender equality’s central role within the Gucci Equilibrium initiative since its inception, she says:

The creation of an equitable and inclusive culture and the respect for the world we live in are core values for Gucci, which has always promoted initiatives contributing concretely to women’s independence and leadership and supporting a sustainable future.”
