Amplifying the voices of women and girls across Latin America and their first-hand experiences
From women in Ecuador and Guatemala leading the fight to project their communities from climate change, to powerful films and written pieces from women storytellers covering underreported issues affecting women in Mexico as part of CHIME FOR CHANGE’s Women Bylines workshop series, women across Latin America shared their stories with CHIME’s journalism platform. To honor these courageous journalists and their stories, CHIME re-published the following written and multimedia pieces during CHIME’s “Through the Years: The Female Fabric” series highlighting the work of female storytellers around the world:

The series featured 100 stories from CHIME’s collection of powerful, first-person narratives from women since 2013, sourced and edited by Mariane, highlighting the critical need to share women’s first-hand experiences, challenges and triumphs, especially during this unprecedented time when progress towards gender equality is at risk.
