As part Gucci Changemakers’ ongoing commitment to foster unity through community action, Gucci has collaborated with Detroit designer Tommey Walker and his homegrown label DETROIT VS. EVERYBODY on a special line-up of T-shirts that celebrate the 11 US Changemaker cities.

The collection is inspired by Tommey Walker’s original DETROIT VS. EVERYBODY T-shirt, where the unapologetic declaration quickly grew into a cultural movement – empowering the people of Detroit and beyond. It is this creative spirit and vision that has deeply resonated with Gucci.

Intertwining Italian craftsmanship and Detroit’s industrialist savoir-faire, the collaboration uses Gucci’s fabric and raw materials and the VS. EVERYBODY graphic to celebrate the Gucci Changemaker’s 11 US focus cities, first identified in 2019 for the launch of the program.

The focus cities include Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.

In its third year, Gucci Changemakers provides donations to non-profits within these 11 cities to support social change and opportunity within communities of color.

To celebrate this commitment to fuel community engagement and positive social change, a charitable donation will be made to the 2020 and recently announced 2021 Gucci Changemakers North America Impact Fund winners.

These local non-profit organizations are focused on key social impact areas including social justice and equity; arts and culture; health equity and wellness; and education.
