PROMOTING POSITIVE IMPACT FOR THE FASHION & CREATIVE INDUSTRIES IN LONDON
Multi-year grants have been given to London-based organizations, in line with Gucci’s commitment to generating positive change for people and the planet. The grassroots organizations are: Rise 365, Art Against Knives and The Advocacy Academy which all use the power of imagination and creativity to help young Londoners envisage a different future for themselves.
The Advocacy Academy are youth organisers working to create a more fair, just, and equal society, by building the collective power of young people to bring about change. They equip young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to become active agents for change in their community.
Art Against Knives is a youth charity based in Barnet, North London, and provides specialist support through their creative programmes, co-designed with young people and embedded in the community, effecting change in the systems around them.
RISE 365 is an East London based youth-led organization with an aim to Reach, Inspire, Support and Empower young people to become the leaders of now and the future. They encourage them to advocate for what they believe in, and support them to challenge inequalities and injustice. RISE 365 is working towards highlighting a positive narrative particularly for young people of colour.
