2023 SPOTLIGHT

Stakeholder Recognition

In 2023, Gucci was the first luxury fashion House in Italy to obtain a Certification for Gender Equality, thanks to our efforts to promote a fair and inclusive work environment. The certificate was obtained by designing a targeted strategy, establishing specific governance, monitoring and fostering growth opportunities, enhancing cultural aspects, and providing focused support to parents. Furthermore, it was bolstered by our commitment to eliminate any wage disparities, whereby we conducted an initial global analysis of gender pay parity in 2021 with a subsequent new analysis rolled out in 2023 to understand and close any remaining gaps. Following this ongoing pay equity journey, we were pleased to receive the Universal Fair Pay Check certification, through Kering, covering all countries for 2023 and 2024. As another nod to our DE&I commitment, Gucci North America was named one of the 2023 Best Places to Work For Disability Inclusion by the Disability Equality Index for the second year in a row in recognition of our objective to create greater opportunities for Disabled people across our ecosystem.

AIRA In-store Experience

We’ve been focusing on our retail network to enhance accessibility and the in-store experience. In 2023, we partnered with AIRA which connects Blind and low-vision customers to remote interpreters that provide real-time access to visual information via smartphones.

UNICEF’s Education Thematic Fund

Continuing our longstanding relationship with UNICEF, in 2023 we contributed to UNICEF’s Global Education Thematic Fund that works to strengthen systems to ensure that every child learns. Every child has the fundamental right to quality education and due to the global disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, education systems were severely impacted, intensifying an existing learning crisis affecting millions of girls and boys. With a particular focus on the world’s most vulnerable communities, the Global Education Thematic Fund enabled UNICEF to allocate resources to education programs in 112 countries and territories.
